The (not big or Fat) Quiz of The year

I have been tagged by the lovely Robyn from to complete ‘The (Not Big or Fat) Quiz of The Year’. Here we go!

What was the highlight of 2016?

Although I said 2016 was a bit tough, it also brought some wonderful moments for myself and my family. I can’t possibly pick just one so I have to include two highlights.

  1. The birth of my beautiful neice, Harper Willow.

I was beyond excited when my youger sister, Megan told me she was pregnant. I couldn’t wait to have my own baby neice and to share motherhood with my sis. The crazy haired bubba was born in April and has been the perfect addition to our family. Megan is seriously the most natural mama I have ever met and taken to it perfectly!

  1. Our amazing family holiday to Majorca.

What an amazing week! You can read all about our getaway here I can’t wait for our next trip away!

Name one thing you are most likely to remember in 2016 if asked in 5 years time.

Hmmm. That’s a hard one! I reckon changing my job.

I worked as a HCA in a hospital environment for seven years until May, 2016 when I left my job for role in a General Practice. It was a big move for me and meant I could work better hours as well as learn so much and gain way more skills and responsibilities. It was also my first Christmas and New year off in sooooo long!

3) Sum up 2016 in one word.

EMOTIONAL. Last year, my family unexpectedly lost someone really special, my amazing Uncle, who will be missed so so much. Friends and family of mine have also seemed to go through some really tough times.

Name one pearl of wisdom from 2016 that you will carry through with you to 2017.

I have learnt that life is too short, it may sound cliche but live to the max, don’t hold grudges and enjoy your life every day.

Do you have any New Years resolutions?

I have recently posted a blog all about my New Years resolutions here – – but basically I haven’t made any huge resolutions, just goals and ways of bettering myself! (Joining SW, blogging more and worrying less included!)

How are you seeing in the New Year?

I have never been a massive fan of going out on New Year’s Eve. Maybe I’m a party pooper but I would much rather stay home with loved ones. This new year I made a curry, watched films and drank prosecco with Dan. Bloody perfect!

What would you most like to do in 2017?

Lose weight and get healthy! Every year I say the same thing, but I desperately need to actually do something about it. My jeans are way too snug.

What are your main goals for 2017?

I have already mentioned some on my my previous blog post but here’s a few main ones:

  • Budget and save money
  • Go on holiday
  • Be more open minded and spontaneous
  • Achieve more with my blog

Til next time,
